With its topless towers dissolving into dust...
On 9/11, our tallest World Trade Center
towers
Buckled, crumbled, crashed - lurching down
From the impossible impact of suicide
pilots...
France's commemorative gift and Emma's poem
Described America's Golden Door, wide open
To waves of grateful, poor gritty immigrants,
From the wide world, each desperate for
work;
So many now: all stacked and crammed together...
Tourists come, too - for shows, subways,
shopping;
And to photograph our refurbished harbor Lady
Liberty:
A high-security target, still lifting high her Lamp.....
