Saturday, November
19, 2011,
6:00 p.m.
Thai
Spice, 2933 N. 108th
Street, Omaha
(shopping plaza on
southeast corner of 108
th
& Maple). For
our November dine out
I wanted something different from the Thanksgiving dinner you’ll be
eating the
next week. So, the
dine out will be at
Thai Spice, one of the best Thai restaurants in Omaha.
Thai Spice has the wonderful and traditional
Pad Thai: glass noodles in a peanut/coconut milk sauce.
In addition, it has many different kinds of
curry dishes, special fried rice, and dinners featuring beef, chicken,
and
various seafood. Appetizers,
from $5.95
to $3.95, include Chicken Satay (grilled chicken on skewers in peanut
sauce)
and two kinds of spring rolls. Rice
dishes, such as pineapple fried rice with chicken, shrimp, cashew nuts,
and
Thai basil are priced from $7.95 to $11.95.
Noodles, curry dishes, and salads are in the same price
range. The house
specialties are too varied to
describe but the most expensive item is $16.95, with most priced around
$11.95. The menu
has 71 different items, so if you
want to preview the menu, here’s the web address for their dinner and
lunch
menus. http://www.thaispiceomaha.com/thaispicemenu.htm.
There are
lots of vegetarian options and (at least in my opinion) the best mild
curry
dishes in town. Hope to see you
there. Please
make reservations with
Diana Vogt no later than 11am on November 19th.
Call or text Diana at 402-981-4012 or email fidgetydjv@gmail.com
with the number of people you will be bringing.
Please use the phone/email listed here rather than my regular email to
make sure I get your reservation.
Call
or text Diana
at 402-981-4012 or email fidgetydjv@gmail.com. Please
include the number of people you’ll be bringing. The
September Dine Out with 16 people was
great fun. Hope to see you there for
September!
