Saturday,
October 15, 2011, 6:00 p.m., Dine Out: Taxi Grill, 1822 N. 120th St., Omaha.  Taxi’s Bar & Grill is often described as an “eclectic eatery.” For those of you who have been around Omaha a while, Taxi’s was started by the owners of the former Neon Goose Restaurant on 10th Street. Taxi’s keeps up with trends while still giving its patrons flavors of long-time favorites. Appetizers are priced between $7.50 and $12.95, starting with spinach and artichoke hearts with cream cheese served with house-made breads and moving up to Dijon shrimp or escargot and Ahi Tuna nachos. The dinner menu includes a wide array of sandwiches including a salmon/shrimp burger and a turkey/bacon blue cheese sandwich. Interesting salads include the salmon nicoise, Egyptian chicken salad, and Drambuie poached pear and grilled chicken salad. Some of the small plates are chicken crepes, fish & chips, and southwestern style meatloaf with Jack Daniels gravy – comfort food with a twist. Full entrees include rib eye steak, grilled salmon, seared sea scallops and lemon shrimp. Prices for the dinner sandwiches, salads, and small plates begin at $8.50 with the most expensive entrees around $27.00. This restaurant has a wide variety of foods, all well-executed. Lots of vegetarian options here. Separate checks are fine, gratuity will be added to the check. For more information go to their website: http://www.taxisgrilleandbar.com to see the menu and get directions. The restaurant is located just south of the southwest corner of 120th & Blondo in a small shopping center. Please make reservations with Diana Vogt no later than 11am on October 15th.
